Ben Yedder with Les Bleus, nine international callups
The AS Monaco captain has been called up by Didier Deschamps to face Sweden and Croatia in the Nations League.

More than nine months after the French team’s last match against Albania (2-0 victory), as part of the Euro 2020 qualifiers (the tournament has been postponed to 2021), Les Bleus are back. Didier Deschamps announced on Thursday the list of 23 players who will face Sweden this Saturday, September 5 in Solna, then Croatia three days later at the Stade de France, as part of the Nations League.

Two goals in the Euro qualifiers

Already present for the last round of matches, Wissam Ben Yedder (8 caps, co-top scorer of last season in Ligue 1 (18 goals) and new captain of the Rouge et Blancs, will be making the trip. He played a big role in the qualification of Les Bleus for the European Championship (6 matches, 2 goals), and thus retains the confidence of the coach at the start of this new season.

Benoît Badiashile with Les Espoirs

Benoît Badiashile, who started alongside Axel Disasi again Stade de Reims last Sunday to open the league season (2-2), was selected by Sylvain Ripoll to the feature for Les Espoirs, the French U-21 side. He will participate in the two matches against Georgia and Azerbaijan, qualifiers for European U-21 Championships in 2021. Note that Willem Geubbels and Arthur Zagré will participate in a training camp with the French U20 team in Clairefontaine.
