Chrislain Matsima returns to AS Monaco
AS Monaco are pleased to announce the return, of Chrislain Matsima who has been on loan at FC Lorient since the start of the season.

He arrived in Brittany in August of 2022, the promising young Monegasque, who will be 21 on May 15, and took part in what has been a good first part of the season for Les Merlus, currently sixth in the table, playing seven matches.

Under contract with AS Monaco until 2025, the central defender (1.93m) now rejoins his training club with whom he already has played 24 matches in the top flight, and joins the first team at the dawn of this second half of the season.

Winner of the Trophée Maurice-Revello with the French U-20s

Originally from Colombes in Hauts-de-Seine, Chrislain Matsima joined the Rouge et Blanc academy in 2017 before signing his first professional contract two years later.

A regular call-up for France at youth level, Chrislain Matsima notably won the Trophée Maurice-Revello in June 2022 with the France U-20s, alongside Maghnes Akliouche.
