Maghnes Akliouche is MVP and in l'Équipe's Ligue 1 Team of the Round
He allowed AS Monaco to confirm its first success of the season and the 1100th of the Club’s history. While Le Havre had brought the match back to two goals to one a few minutes before, Maghnes Akliouche got forward on the break to make it 3-1 following a textbook play.
Finshing off a textbook play
After a one-two between Mika Biereth and Vanderson, the right back sprung Denis Zakaria past the offside trap with a deep ball. Winning a duel against his defender, the Swiss international crossed into the six-yard box where the Academy-trained midfielder was waiting and he only had to push the ball into the net to score his first Ligue 1 goal of the season and his sixth since the start of preseason.

Second Most Decisive Player in 2025
“Magic” Maghnes thus continuesd his good form of 2025, having now been involved in 10 top-flight goals this year (4 goals, 6 assists). It’s a total that only Mika Biereth (15) has bettered for AS Monaco, according to Opta. Also hitting the post in the first half, the best player of the previous season showed his availability, touching the ball 86 times, including 5 in the box, and completing 83.6% of his passes.
MVP + l’Équipe team of the round
This is why he was elected MVP of the first day of Ligue 1 on the AS Monaco App, ahead of Eric Dier, who scored a headed goal in his official debut in the Principality. But that’s not all for the #MadeInLaDiagonale player since he was also present in l’Équipe’s Team of the Round. With a score of 7, he featured with — among others — the former Monégasque Djibril Sidibé. Bravo Maghnes! 👏
