Maghnes Akliouche is MVP and in l'Équipe's Ligue 1 Team of the Round

Scorer of the third goal against Le Havre in Monaco's 3-1 victory on the first day of Ligue 1, the Academy-trained midfielder was voted MVP on the AS Monaco App, while also appearing in the sports daily's Team of the Year.

He allowed AS Monaco to confirm its first success of the season and the 1100th of the Club’s history. While Le Havre had brought the match back to two goals to one a few minutes before, Maghnes Akliouche got forward on the break to make it 3-1 following a textbook play.

Winning a duel against his defender, the Swiss international crossed into the six-yard box where the Academy-trained midfielder was waiting and he only had to push the ball into the net to score his first Ligue 1 goal of the season and his sixth since the start of preseason.

It’s a total that only Mika Biereth (15) has bettered for AS Monaco, according to Opta.
