The Monegasques' international results

The Monegasques' international results
Here's a look back at our players' international break, which saw them in action on three continents for ten different teams.

The Monegasques have not been idle over the recently concluded international break. In three weeks since the previous break, they had played six matches and therefore deserved to rest a little before getting back to action in Ligue 1 ahead of tomorrow’s match against Lille. But not all of them will be able to recharge their batteries, since several of them were in action with their countries.

If Krépin Diatta played without too much pressure for Senegal, who were already assured of a place in the playoffs for the World Cup, and the same was true for Kevin Volland and Germany, also already qualified, the others would be fighting to punch their tickets for Qatar. This was the case for Aurélien Tchouameni and Wissam Ben Yedder with France, Strahinja Pavlović and Serbia, Aleksandr Golovin for Russia and Guillermo Maripán with Chile.

AS Monaco’s youngsters were also in action

AS Monaco was also represented in the youth categories. Sofiane Diop and Benoît Badiashile played for France’s Espoirs (U-21) team in qualifying for Euro 2023, as did Anthony Musaba with the Netherlands. Chrislain Matsima was called up for the French U20s and Jordan Semedo Varela to the U19s.
