Thanks to their superb performance against PSG (3-0), Axel Disasi, Youssouf Fofana and Wissam Ben Yedder appear in L’Equipe type for the 29th day of Ligue 1.A collective performance of the highest level. This Sunday, AS Monaco dominated PSG (3-0) on the occasion of the 29th round of Ligue 1. And if all the players were present, three have the honor of appearing in L’Equipe’s team of the week , established by the sports daily every Monday after the league’s matches.

Disasi the wall, Fofana is everywhere

The first of these is Axel Disasi, author of an XXL performance in central defense and which confirms his excellent form. Unbeatable in his duels, especially against Kylian Mbappé, the vice-captain of the Rouge et Blanc  collected a mark of 7, like his teammate Youssouf Fofana.

Working alongside Aurélien Tchouameni, the Monegasque number 22 reigned supreme in midfield. In addition to his usual effort in ball recovery, he was also decisive on two of the three goals. First by delivering a superb cross for Wissam Ben Yedder, after an overlap on the right flank, for the opener (25′), then by being at the origin of Kevin Volland’s goal after a sublime bit of skill to eliminate Marco Verratti (68′).

The Ben Yedder show

To crown this magnificent performance, Wissam Ben Yedder also appears among those honored by L’Equipe‘s. How could it have been otherwise, given his performance? Our captain scored his 16th and 17th goals of the season in Ligue 1, including an absolutely sublime finish with his left at the near post, thus consolidating his place as the league’s top scorer. He also added to this a fine pass in the build-up to his team’s second goal, earning a score of 8. Bravo to all three!
