Axel Disasi to Chelsea Football Club
AS Monaco announce the transfer of 25-year-old French defender Axel Disasi to Chelsea Football Club.

After joining AS Monaco in the summer of 2020, the native of Gonesse (Île-de-France) is joining one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, Chelsea Football Club, two-time Champions League winners and six-time English champions.

Trained at Paris FC, where he began his professional career in the 2015-16 season, Axel Disasi subsequently signed for and distinguished himself with Stade de Reims, contributing to the club’s return to the European Cup at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Vice-captain of AS Monaco

On the strength of his progress with Reims, the solid defender (1.90m) was recruited a few weeks later by AS Monaco, and was given the role of vice-captain shortly after his arrival. He played a key role in the team’s success, reaching the 2021 French Cup Final and finishing on the podium of Ligue 1 Uber Eats in 2021 and 2022.

World Cup finalist in 2022

Thanks to his progress and consistency with the diagonal shirt, he was called up by Didier Deschamps for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar last season, and he even played in the final against Argentina. Since that international tournament, the versatile 25-year-old defender has been recalled for the last two French national call.

Axel Disasi is leaving AS Monaco after 129 appearances in the red and white shirt (12 goals).
