Born in Bissau (Guinea-Bissau) on October 31, 2002, Ansu Fati grew up in Spain (Andalusia), where he moved at the age of six. He started playing football at CDF Herrera, before moving to Sevilla FC, then joining La Masia, FC Barcelona's training center, in 2012. He made his professional debut with Barça on August 25, 2019, at just 16 years old. A precocious talent, he quickly proved himself in La Liga and the Champions League. On December 10, he scored the winning goal against Inter Milan (2-1) and became, at 17 years and 40 days, the youngest goalscorer in the history of the competition. He concluded the 2019-2020 season playing more than 30 matches, scoring 8 goals, and ranked second in the 2020 Golden Boy. In the colors of FC Barcelona, where he occupied several offensive positions - winger, attacking midfielder, striker - he totaled 123 matches (29 goals and 8 assists) and won two Spanish league titles, two Spanish Cups as well as two Spanish Super Cups (2023 and 2025). In order to continue to gain experience, Ansu Fati spent the 2023-2024 season on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion. There, he discovered the Premier League and played 27 matches with the English club (4 goals, 1 assist). A Spanish international since 2020, he participated in the 2022 World Cup and then in the team's victory in the 2023 Nations League. This season, Ansu Fati will debut in Ligue 1 in the AS Monaco jersey and will thus strengthen the Monegasques attacking options.
