The building
Recognizing the importance of youth development, AS Monaco—in collaboration with the Principality’s government—now boasts an exceptional facility that allows our young football apprentices to enjoy a daily living environment conducive to their personal and professional growth. Overlooking the legendary Stade Louis-II, *La Diagonale* is an ambitious and innovative living space that provides all the conditions necessary to optimize the performance of high-level athletes.
This 4,000 m² red-and-white building comprises 18 single rooms, 18 double rooms, 21 studio apartments, 12 classrooms, a medical center, a fitness room, a balneotherapy center, relaxation areas, and a restaurant. All technical, medical, and educational resources are consolidated on a single site and placed at the disposal of the Academy’s residents, thereby maximizing their chances of achieving their goal of becoming professional footballers.

🛏️ Rooms/studios
The complex comprises 18 double rooms and 18 single rooms, with a total capacity to accommodate 54 youth players. Additionally, 21 units feature independent access to accommodate our adult players.
🏋️♂️ The performance space
Furthermore, the young residents of the building benefit from professional-grade facilities, such as the strength training and injury rehabilitation room, as well as the hydrotherapy area—comprising a Jacuzzi and a cold plunge pool for recovery.
🩺 Medical facilities
These ultramodern facilities are complemented by state-of-the-art medical equipment, including an ultrasound room, two treatment rooms (for physiotherapy, osteopathy, and podiatry), as well as a sports rehabilitation area (featuring isokinetic testing).
🍴 Restaurant
An all-in-one facility, La Diagonale also offers players the opportunity to dine on-site in a cafeteria, featuring menus tailored to high-level athletes and supervised by our dietitian.
🎮 Areas for relaxation
Young people can gather here to play video games, enjoy the foosball table, and watch football matches on TV or via a video projector. Adjacent to this, a flexible meeting space is also available for meetings.
