The Environment

AS Monaco raises awareness regarding environmental issues among all its stakeholders, as exemplified by the "Red & White Beehives" program—an initiative through which the Club takes action, humbly yet tangibly, to support biodiversity.

The Red and White Beehives

Launched in 2022, this program initially facilitated the installation of 13 beehives at Larvotto, in Monaco, based on a simple principle: one beehive funded for every 10 goals scored in Ligue 1. Now maintained by AS Monaco, these hives house over 500,000 bees that pollinate local vegetation and produce more than 100 kg of honey annually—which is then presented to visiting delegations—while simultaneously raising awareness about biodiversity protection.

During the 2023/2024 season, AS Monaco wore a jersey designed in collaboration with the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco. This initiative served as a way for AS Monaco to highlight its deep roots in the Mediterranean region, while also contributing to raising awareness regarding the fragility of the marine world and the need for ocean conservation.

Furthermore, the Principality’s club pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Oceanographic Institute to support its environmental preservation and outreach initiatives.
