A native of the Paris region, Lucas Michal began his young football career at US Ivry, before joining Paris FC, and then Torcy. Spotted by AS Monaco, the right-footed forward was one of the architects of the Monegasque success in the 2023 Coupe Gambardella. The Academy-trained forward signed with the Club until June 2026, and later extended until 2029. Scorer of 11 goals in 33 matches with the Elite Group, Lucas gradually integrated into the professional squad and played his first minutes in the top flight against Nantes during the final match of the 2023-2024 season. These good performances convinced Bernard Diomède to select him for the U19 Euros. During the following season, the forward increasingly joined the first team and took part in 13 matches across all competitions, including three in the Champions League. Selected for the France U20 team to play in the Maurice Revello Tournament, he contributed to the French U20s' 14th title in the competition, notably scoring the winning goal against Panama in the group stage. In 2025-2026, he took part in four matches with the Red and Whites, before being loaned to Metz during the second half of the season, where he played nine Ligue 1 matches with the Grenats.
