Takumi Minamino had already made 391 official appearances since his debut (114 goals, 41 assists), including 48 in European competition, before his arrival in the Principality. An international since 2015 (42 caps, 17 goals), the winger has consolidated his talent on Premier League pitches as well as those of the prestigious Champions League. The native of Izumisano has an impressive list of honours to his name, including five Austrian league titles with Salzburg (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), one English league title (2020), one FA Cup and one English League Cup last season with Liverpool, a club with whom he reached the final of the last Champions League. In his first season with the club he played 25 games, while in the 2023-2024 season he played 31 games, scoring 9 goals and providing 6 assists. In the 2024-2025 season, celebrating the club's centenary, the Japanese international played in 43 matches, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists.
