The Rouge et Blanc now have clarity. Currently in England for their training camp at St. George’s Park, the AS Monaco squad finally know who they will be facing in the Conference League play-offs. Ten days after the draw held at UEFA headquarters, the Rouge et Blanc were set to meet the loser of the tie between Hungarian outfit Ferencváros and Polish side Górnik Zabrze.
A first-ever encounter 🆕
After winning the first leg at home (1-0), the reigning Hungarian Cup holders — whom Monaco faced three years ago in the 2022–23 Europa League group stage (0-1 defeat; 1-1 draw) — secured a draw against the most recent winners of the Polish Cup (1-1). Filipe Luís’ men will therefore take on Górnik Zabrze, marking a first-ever meeting between the two clubs. While kick-off times for the two play-off fixtures have yet to be confirmed, the first leg will be played away from home on Thursday 20 August, with the return leg scheduled at the Stade Louis-II one week later.
