Samuel Nibombé joins the Principality club from Sporting Charleroi, where he played for the U18s during the 2022 2023 season. The athletic central defender (1m98), who turned 16 on 15 August, will play for Monaco's U-19, coached by Frédéric Barilaro.


A precocious talent
The son of Daré, a former professional player and Togolese international (from 2000 to 2016), Samuel Nibombé began his football career at Renaissance Albert Elisabeth Club de Mons (2015 2018), before joining Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht (2018-2021). Until June, he played for Sporting Charleroi's U18s.
Captain of Belgium'sU16 national team
His performances have earned the Mons native regular call ups to Belgium's youth teams. With the Red Devils' U15 and U16 teams, Samuel Nibombé has made more than 20 appearances, mainly as captain, including 10 games without conceding a single goal.
