After Ritchy Valme and Lucas Michal, a third Coupe Gambardella champion has signed his first professional contract with AS Monaco. Mayssam Benama, age 18 has signed a contract through 2026 with his first professional club after joining in 2020, having played for Tours-Nord and Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire previously.

Also having played at Pôle Espoirs de Châteauroux, the young midfielder then continued his training at the Academy. Last season, he also reached the final of the U-19 national championship under Frédéric Barilaro.
Mayssam, I like him a lot. I am always there to talk with him, to advise him. I hope he will continue to grow and become a very, very good player.

It was also under the Monegasque technician that he won the Coupe Gambardella on April 29. A regular winner throughout his AS Monaco career, Mayssam Benama played in all of theRouge et Blanc'smatches in the competition as a starter.

In the quarter-finals, against FC Nantes, he also set up Pape Cabral perfectly for the only goal of the match (1-0).
