Pape Cabral extends until 2031

AS Monaco are delighted to announce the contract extension of Pape Cabral. The 19-year-old French midfielder, who came through the Club’s Academy, is now tied to the Principality side until 30 June 2031.

Currently involved in pre-season preparations under Filipe Luís, Pape Cabral has featured in AS Monaco’s first three friendly matches this summer against AS Saint-Priest, a partner club of the Rouge et Blanc, Sporting CP and Cercle Brugge, AS Monaco’s sister club. Born on 20 January 2007, the Academy graduate continues his development at the highest level after making his first steps in professional football during the 2025-2026 season.

Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League debuts 🇪🇺

On 27 September, he made his first-team debut against FC Lorient. That appearance was followed by five more outings in Rouge & Blanc colours, including two in the UEFA Champions League, against Manchester City at the Stade Louis-II (2-2) and in the 1-0 victory away to Bodø/Glimt in Norway. It was a season full of learning experiences for the Keur Massar-born midfielder from Senegal, who joined the professional squad at the start of the previous campaign. Alongside that, Pape also featured in the Club’s UEFA Youth League campaign, helping AS Monaco secure victories against Pafos (3-0) and Galatasaray (5-0).

Coupe Gambardella winner in 2023 🏆

Having joined the AS Monaco Academy in the summer of 2022 from CS Mainvilliers, the Eure-et-Loir club where he had played since 2013, Pape Cabral has progressed through every stage of his development in the Principality. A journey highlighted by the Club’s victorious 2022-2023 Coupe Gambardella campaign, during which he featured in the majority of matches, including the final as a starter. After completing the various stages of his development in Monaco, Pape Cabral signed his first professional contract with AS Monaco in February 2025, reaching another important milestone with the Rouge et Blanc.

France U19 international 🇫🇷

Alongside his club career, Pape Cabral has also represented France at youth level. A French youth international, the midfielder has earned more than 34 caps from U16 through to U19 level. He notably took part in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in May 2024 alongside Jules Stawiecki. Now under contract until 2031, Pape is further extending his long-term commitment to AS Monaco and will continue to demonstrate his dedication and qualities within the Rouge & Blanc squad.
