The unstoppable Paris Brunner named MVP of the month for September by Bang & Olufsen

Having scored two goals in three Ligue 1 McDonald’s appearances in September and impressed in attack, the Germany U21 international has been voted the Club’s best player of the month by supporters on the AS Monaco App.

He is simply unstoppable! If Paris Brunner had already made his mark nine times since the start of the season in July (five during pre-season, followed by four in competitive matches throughout August), the 20-year-old striker was not about to stop there. Indeed, the No.29 of the Rouge et Blanc continued his incredible run of form, scoring two more crucial goals in September in France’s top flight.

Starting at Paris Saint-Germain and putting in a committed performance, like the rest of his teammates, in AS Monaco’s victory at the Parc des Princes, the Dortmund-born striker did not find the back of the net, with Flávio Nazinho and Stanis Idumbo taking over on the scoresheet that evening (1-2, Matchday 3). However, Paris "Scorer" Brunner quickly put that right, as the following week he helped his side secure a precious point away at Strasbourg, with an outstanding long-range strike that found the top corner of the Alsatian goalkeeper’s net (1-1, Matchday 4).

I saw the space, I went into it, I tried to shoot first time and, fortunately, it went in. Did the defender push me? Yes, but it didn't bother me when I scored. In any case, the ball went exactly where I wanted to put it.

Involved in everything against Lens ⚽️

Far from satisfied, he followed that up with another outstanding performance the following weekend. Against RC Lens, the club from the Principality could indeed count on their goalscorer to open the scoring with a composed angled finish, capping a superb run from Matthis Abline. And although Les Sang et Or subsequently equalised, Monaco regained the lead late in the game following an own goal from Jonathan Gradit, who was under pressure in the duel from none other than… Paris Brunner (2-1, Matchday 5)!

He has a lot of confidence in himself now, but also incredible energy, and he retains the passion that characterises him. I love that!
