Caio Henrique Oliveira Silva has signed a 5-year contract with AS Monaco on 27 August 2020. The versatile midfielder, who trained at Santos FC, is capable of playing on the entire left flank. Caio Henrique was signed by Atlético Madrid in 2016 at the tender age of 18, but was soon loaned back to his homeland to gain playing time and experience. An undisputed starter at left-back for Fluminense FC and a key figure in the Tricolor carioca's run to the quarter-finals of the Copa Sudamericana in 2019, the Brazilian U23 international also contested South America's other flagship international competition, the Copa Libertadores, with Porto Alegre's Gremio FC at the start of 2020. Caio Henrique quickly established himself as the first-choice left-back in Monaco's defence. An attacking midfielder with a delightful touch on the ball, he provided a host of assists for his team-mates (27 since his arrival). Despite suffering a serious injury at the start of the 2023-2024 season, the player still managed to provide 5 assists in 9 games. His return to form has enabled him to take part in 38 matches in the 2024-2025 season, during which he has scored 6 assists.
