Eric Dier arrives in the Principality after a full season with Bayern Munich, where he joined in January 2024. A regular starter in the Bavarian defence, he played an active part in the club's Bundesliga title triumph and their fine run in the Champions League, reaching the quarter-finals. Prior to that, he spent a significant part of his career at Tottenham, where he played for ten seasons. Recruited in 2014, he established himself as a key player thanks to his versatility and consistency. His performances have contributed to Spurs' historic run to the Champions League final in 2019. With the London club, the Cheltenham native (born on 15 January 1994) has made 365 appearances, securing two Premier League podium finishes and reaching two League Cup finals. His fine performances at club level opened the door to the England national team in 2015. He won 49 caps and scored 3 goals for the Three Lions, taking part in Euro 2016 as well as the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Before making a name for himself on the international scene, Eric Dier began his career in Portugal, where he grew up with his family and trained at Sporting CP. It is therefore with a wealth of experience accumulated across Europe and with the national team that Eric Dier will arrive at AS Monaco to strengthen the red and white squad.
