Maintaining their rhythm during this three-week international break. With eight players from the first-team squad having joined their respective national teams, all the others not involved in international duty will take part in a friendly match against Pisa, currently 11th in Serie B, on Saturday 3 October (11 a.m.) at the Performance Centre.
A single match but a dual objective
While the result will be secondary, the main objective will be to keep everyone fit and give playing time to those who have not had much recently, so that everyone can “be at the same athletic level” ahead of the visit of Toulouse on 10 October, as Filipe Luís explained at a press conference following the victory over Lens. This will notably concern Takumi Minamino and Mohammed Salisu, who have recently returned to the squad after eight months on the sidelines.
