It is time for the international break! Enjoying an exceptional start to the 2026-2027 season, and still undefeated after seven matches across all competitions (6 wins and 1 draw), AS Monaco have seen eight members of their squad head off on international duty. This is without counting the 14 Academy players from La Diagonale who have also been called up, including Safouane Benzahra (Morocco U20). Several first-time call-ups 👏

This extended international window will also provide an opportunity for three Monegasques to experience a new national team setup. Jules Stawiecki has earned his first call-up to the France U20 squad for the Elite League, having already represented the French U16, U17, U18, and U19 sides. Meanwhile, Sadibou Sané has been selected for Senegal and will be able to rely on his teammate Lamine Camara to help him settle perfectly into Patrick Vieira’s squad. Finally, after an incredible August and September featuring six goals to his name, Paris Brunner will take his first steps with the Germany U21s.

Crucial fixtures 🔥

The German forward will take part in three 2027 U21 Euro qualifying fixtures, just like his clubmate Christian Mawissa, who has been selected for the France U21s. The two Senegalese internationals will play two matches as part of the qualifiers for the upcoming AFCON, while Lukáš Hradecký will look to make a strong impression in Nations League C with Finland. Lastly, Vanderson has been called up as a reinforcement by Carlo Ancelotti and will make his grand return to the Brazil squad, nearly a year later, to play three friendly matches, as will Aleksandr Golovin's Russia.
