The USA dominate Trinidad and Tobago, with Folarin Balogun notching an assist!

Facing Trinidad and Tobago in the first leg of the quarterfinals leg of the CONCACAF Nations League, Folarin Balogun's Team USA calmly won (3-0), notably thanks to an assist from our striker.

Without hesitation. Making their debut in this CONCACAF Nations League, the United States, the defending champions, easily disposed of Trinidad and Tobago (3-0).Our Monégasque striker Folarin Balogun was in the eleven at kickoff, and played the whole match in winning his seventh cap ( three goals).

Balo's first assist

Despite an ultra-dominant display by Team USA (75% possession for the United States, 26 shots to 1), the match was slow to settle and they had to wait until the 82nd minute to score through Ricardo Pepi, before doubling the lead four minutes later thanks to Antonee Robinson.

The result was now there for the taking and they would even score a third goal to finish things off, one which "Balo" is at the origin of since it is he who recorded an assist for Giovanni Reyna, following a well-executed one-two.

One foot in the semifinals
