After heading to Bruges in January 2024, Malamine Efekele will continue his adventure with the sister club of AS Monaco, who finished fourth in the last Belgian league.

European experience in view

The International U20 striker (7 caps), trained atLa Diagonale, will thus take part in Cercle's European campaign, having brilliantly qualified for the Europa League, competition in which the Green & Black will face the Scottish side Kilmarnock (2nd qualification round, July 25 - August 1).

One goal scored during his first loan spell

Alongside two other players from the Academy, Félix Lemarechal and Jordan Semedo, Malamine Efekele played, during the second part of the 2023-2024 season, a dozen games. The young striker distinguished himself in the race for Europe by scoring a goal against KRC Genk during the play-off phase.
It was a goal that contributed to a historical season for Cercle in the Jupiler Pro League: the team had not reached such a place - 4th - since 2007, and qualified for a European competition for the first time in 13 years.
AS Monaco wishes all the best for Malamine Efekele with the Groen-Zwart this season! 🟢⚫
