Injury-free from start to finish and with a remarkable run in the spring of 2026, Folarin Balogun was rewarded by being voted MVP of the season by Bang & Olufsen by AS Monaco fans. It must be said that the player, who will almost certainly be experiencing his first World Cup on home soil this summer with the United States, was eager to prove himself.

A landmark result, the second in a run of seven consecutive Ligue 1 victories, that will showcase the brilliance of Monaco's number 9. "Balogoal" would scofe in eight consecutive matches, notably in the clashes against Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon, and Marseille, against whom he will score the gem of the season with a sublime lob! He is thus one of only two players in Europe's top five leagues to have achieved this feat this season, along with Kylian Mbappé (8 from September to November 2025), notes Opta.

He became the fifth striker to achieve this feat in the top flight in the 21st century, after Sonny Anderson with Lyon in 2001 (11), Shabani Nonda with AS Monaco in 2003 (8), Rony Lopes also with the club from the Principality in 2018 (8), and Moussa Dembélé with OL in 2022 (8), notes the statistics provider. With his latest goal in Metz, the American striker has even accumulated nine goals in 10 matchdays, bringing his total league goals to 13.
Man of the Season 🥇
Across all competitions, Balo' finished the 2025-2026 season with 22 goal contributions (19 goals, 3 assists), making him the most involved Monaco player. It's therefore quite logical that he won the Bang & Olufsen MVP award, voted for by AS Monaco fans, who gave him 62% of the vote on the app, ahead of Maghnes Akliouche (17%) -- a double win after the trophy he received from the CSM members.
