It's World Cup time! The 2025-2026 Ligue 1 McDonald’s season having finished, some members of the Monaco squad will experience a summer punctuated by the 2026 World Cup,which will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. But before the start of the competition, everyone will play at least one friendly match to best prepare for their entry into the tournament. Here's what's next for our World Cup players. 📆

Several friendly matches between Monaco players 🇲🇨

And during these preseason matches, some players from the Rouge et Blanc have had, or will have, the opportunity to meet on the pitch. This is notably the case for Folarin Balogun, who faced Senegal, featuring Lamine Camara and Krépin Diatta, this Sunday, and even scored a goal for the United States (3-2). Also of note is the Ivorian international, Simon Adingra, who will travel to France to face Maghnes Akliouche's French national team.

In addition to facing the African winger, "Magic" Maghnes will also have the chance to meet Lamine Camara and Krépin Diatta, but this time in a very different context. Indeed, Didier Deschamps' men will take on Pape Thiaw's side in their first Group I match at the World Cup, on Tuesday, June 16th at 9 PM. Meanwhile, Denis Zakaria has obviously been selected for Switzerland for the World Cup, but will not face one of his teammates until a potential knockout match.
