With another goal, Folarin Balogun is MVP of the comeback win against Metz

Scoring for the ninth time in ten games, the American striker, who scored the equalizer in Metz (1-2), was voted MVP by Monaco supporters on the AS Monaco App.

The month has changed, but his effectiveness remains the same. Having just been named MVP in April thanks to three goals, Folarin Balogun once again found the net in the stunning 2-1 victory at Metz, in the first match played in May. His goal was crucial, coming just minutes after Metz had opened the scoring, and helped AS Monaco get back into the game.

Double touch, and a shot into the side netting 😱

Found by Maghnes Akliouche at the edge of the box, the American striker executed a double touch to beat Bouna Sarr and shift the ball onto his right foot. Completely confident, he quickly followed up with an unstoppable, angled shot past Pape Sy, despite his 2.06m height, which nestled into the far corner of the net, scoring his 13th league goal of the season and his ninth in his last ten matches (1-1, 61').

Second-highest scorer in 2026 ✌️

Impressive consistency in recent weeks has even propelled him to second place in Ligue 1 in 2026, behind Esteban Lepaul (10). This consistency was rewarded by Monaco fans, as the number 9 was voted MVP of the match in Lorraine with 68% of the vote, ahead of Ansu Fati, the man who secured the victory in stoppage time. This is his sixth Man of the Match award, by the way. Well done, Balo! 👏
