They’re back! While some of their teammates are still representing their national teams at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the majority of Monaco’s players returned to the Performance Center on Monday 6 July. Following two days dedicated to the customary fitness and medical assessments, the players from the Principality club completed their first pre-season training session on Wednesday morning under the guidance of new head coach Filipe Luís.
Five pre-season friendlies already scheduled 🏟️
The schedule will quickly gather pace, as AS Monaco will play their first pre-season friendly at the end of their second week of preparation, taking on Academy partner club AS Saint-Priest on Saturday 18 July at the Performance Center (kick-off 10:30am). Thilo Kehrer and his teammates will then travel to Portugal to face Sporting CP one week later (Saturday 25 July at 8:30pm French time), before hosting Cercle Bruges at their training ground in La Turbie (31 July at 5pm) and then Spanish side Getafe at the Stade Louis-II on Thursday 6 August (8pm).
Back to England for the pre-season training camp 🇬🇧
Following these first four friendly fixtures, the Rouge et Blanc will travel to England for a training camp at St. George’s Park, the "English Clairefontaine", previously selected in 2023 and 2025 and regularly used by the Three Lions, who have currently reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup. The team will spend six days there, from 8 to 14 August, and will get underway in style with a prestigious fixture against Liverpool at the iconic Anfield stadium on Sunday 9 August at 3:30pm French time.
