Vanderson is called up by Brazil for the first time!
With 30 appearances this season in Ligue 1 with AS Monaco, the Brazilian right back has just been rewarded by being called up with his national team to play two friendly matches in June.

He reached the 60-game mark in Rouge et Blanc Saturday against Rennes. Having featured 30 times in the league this season with the Principality club (23 starts), Vanderson has become part a regular part of Philippe Clement’s team since his arrival at the foot of the Rock in January 2022. Rewarded for his progress, the young Brazilian right back has just been called up for the first time by the Seleção.

A match against Krépin and Ismail?

Having only been called up for the U-20s by the youth teams of Brazil, the player who scored a goal and delivered four assists this season in Ligue 1 will thus join his national team for the June set of matches. Still awaiting the identity of their future coach, the Auriverdes will thus meet Guinea (Saturday June 17) and a Senegal side which inlcudes Krépin Diatta and Ismail Jakobs three days later (on Tuesday June 20).

It will be a great opportunity to show his qualities on the right flank, for a player who set up the Tsar recently against Angers, for one of the goals of the season for AS Monaco. Bravo Vandi! 🇧🇷
