While the football world will enter World Cup mode this Thursday, our Rouge et Blanc now know the schedule for their 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season. The LFP unveiled the calendar for the new season on Wednesday, which will see AS Monaco start with a trip to Le Havre on the weekend of August 21-23.

Four big matches to start the season

A start to the season reminiscent of last year's, as the Rouge et Blanc had also faced Le Havre in Matchday 1, which ended in a 3-1 victory at the Stade Louis-II. Their first home game at the Stade Louis-II will therefore come a week later with a clash against Olympique de Marseille, followed by three more big matches before the September break: away games against PSG and Strasbourg, then a home game against Lens.

The Derby against Nice in the final sprint

As for the Côte d'Azur derby against Nice, the first fixture will take place on the weekend of January 2, 2027 at the Stade Louis-II (Matchday 15), while the reverse at the Allianz Riviera has been scheduled for the penultimate matchday, the weekend of May 22, 2027. This explosive encounter will be followed by a home game against Troyes a week later to close out the 2026-2027 season.
