AS Monaco is set to to return on July 3, with friendlies against Cercle and Arsenal
The Rouge & Blanc will return to the Performance Center to resume training on July 3, and their first two friendlies are scheduled against Cercle Brugge and Arsenal as part of the Emirates Cup. Here's a look at what's ahead.

A little over a month after the final whistle of the 2022-2023 season, the Monegasques will embark on the next on July 3. They’ll resume training to prepare for the 2023-24  Ligue 1 Uber Eats season which will be played by 18 clubs, and the first matchday of which is scheduled for the weekend of August 12, 2023 and the 34th and final round of which will be played on the weekend of May 18, 2024.

A first match in Bruges against Cercle

Two friendly matches are already scheduled for these six weeks of preseason. The Rouge et Blanc will thus head to Bruges to play a traditional match against the club’s sister club Cercle, who have just had a very good season in the Jupiler Pro League (finishing second in the Europa Conference League Playoffs). This match will be played on July 15, the Groen-Zwart‘s Fan Day at the Jan Breydel Stadium.

A prestigious match against Arsenal

AS Monaco are also set to face Arsenal, as part of the Emirates Cup, set for August 2 at the Emirates Stadium in London. It’s a prestigious match against the team which finished second in the Premier League this season, a club with whom several players that have contributed to the story of the Rouge et Blanc have played (Arsène Wenger, Thierry Henry, Emmanuel Petit, Sébastien Squillaci, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gilles Grimandi…).
