Three in a row for Aleksandr Golovin, November MVP!

Three in a row for Aleksandr Golovin, November MVP!
Winner in September and October, the Russian midfielder from AS Monaco, author of a goal and an assist in November, has just been elected MVP powered by Bang & Olufsen in the latest month of the competition.

It’s only been Takumi Minamino who has deprived him of the title of player of the month this season. Honored in August after a thunderous start to the season, the Japanese international, as well as his teammates, have since left the title to one man: Aleksandr Golovin. The winner in September and then October, the Rouge et Blanc number 17 has now been named the Bang & Olufsen MVP for November.

Ahead of Köhn and Diatta

He’s finished ahead of Philipp Köhn, decisive against Le Havre with a penalty saved in the last seconds, and Krépin Diatta, the midfielder leaving them but crumbs, winning 64% of the votes on Twitter, and 73% on Instagram. It must be said that “Golo” once again showed himself to be particularly impressive as he started in the three matches played – he also all of the matches except against Brest where he came off in the 88th minutes.

A goal and an assist against Brest

He also shone by being decisive in the two goals scored by the Rouge et Blanc in their 2-0 victory in that match. First with an assist for Denis Zakaria on a perfectly delivered corner, he was then at the end of a marvel of a collective action thanks to his specialty. Found in behind by Youssouf Fofana, he controlled the ball before and curling his shot into the top corner past Marco Bizot, who was left helpless.

I don't know how to explain it, it's natural for me, it's difficult to say why I like this way of finishing. I feel like I'm comfortable in this position. It’s also something I work on a lot every day in training. We try these kind of strikes, because at home we often face teams who play in a low block with 10 players sitting back.

Player of the Month for the third time running

MVP for the sixth time in this match – a record for a player in the squad this season – the player who could make his 150th appearance this weekend was also decisive at the Parc des Princes, despite his team’s defeat.

He in fact delivered five final passes before a shot, proof of his attacking importance in Adi Hütter’s system. It is therefore no surprise that he was voted player of the month for November, powered by Bang & Olufsen, for the third time in a row. Bravo Golo!
