He was first on the lookout after good pressing from Krépin Diatta to recover the ball and send a shot across goal from the right into the opposite corner, before being the author of a superb finish. The key man in the return to the podium
Again in the league, Wissam Ben Yedder was invovled in the win in Brest (2-1) with a cutback setting up the Tsar at the end of the first half. These performances have been key in helping the club keep up their good form as they're now third and on the podium.
And in Europe, if AS Monaco has unfortunately been eliminated by Leverkusen on penalties, he has little to regret. In the first leg, he set up the Senegalese winger and in the return leg, it was he who scored the goal to make it 1-1 with a perfectly converted penalty.
A third win this season
Decisive every 50 minutes this month, the captain is therefore logically named MVP of February on the AS Monaco App, winning this third trophy after October and January. With 51% of the vote, he finished ahead of Aleksandr Golovin, who scored two goals and added an assist, and who had 34% of the vote. Bravo Wissam! 👏
