Author of a complete match and his first goal since arriving on the Rock, Youssouf Fofana was elected MVP of the match against Real Sociedad (2-1) by the Rouge et Blanc fans on the AS Monaco App.

It was an evening that he will not soon forget. On Thursday against Real Sociedad (2-1), Youssouf Fofana scored his first goal for AS Monaco, a side which he joined in January 2020. “Regarding my first goal for Monaco, I was expecting it, but above all I remember that it does us good because it allows us to progress,” said the 22-year-old midfielder after the match. “The ball was coming and I told myself that I am ten centimeters from the goal, so that I have to do everything to score. I leapt, I used my head and when it went in it was a godsend because we went back in front.”

100% of his tackles and dribbles

In addition to his goal, the player who marked his 68th appearance for the Club played a complete match in midfield, with winning six duels won, completing 100% of his dribbles and tackles successfuly and making nine ball recoveries.
