They've both had very good seasons, which will undoubtedly remain etched in their memories. Eliesse Ben Seghir and Mayssam Benama will now have the chance to continue this by competing at the end of the season in the prestigious Tournoi Maurice-Revello. The two products ofLa Diagonale, both trained at the Academy, were indeed included in the list of 22 players announced by the FFF on Monday evening.


Two Monégasques were winners last year
Called up by the coach of the French U-18s, the 1998 World Champion Bernard Diomède, the two young Monégasque talents will thus have the opportunity to rub shoulders with the best players of their generation. On the occasion of this legendary competition - formerly called the Tournoi de Toulon (it was won last year by Maghnes Akliouche and Chrislain Matsima), Eliesse and Mayssam will once again be able to show their great qualities.
A newly-minted professional and a Gambardella winner
Nominated for the UNFP Best Young Player in Ligue 1 in the wake of his professional debut last December, with in particular and incredible double in Auxerre, theRouge et Blancattacking midfielder has experienced a meteoric rise.
He had indeed started the season alongside his partner in the heart of midfield, playing with the Elite Group. He also took part in the superb run by the Monegasque U-18s in the Coupe Gambardella, winning the fifth title in the history of AS Monaco for this prestigious trophy.
A balanced group
Professional debuts, Trophées UNFP, Coupe Gambardella...
