Qualifiers, friendlies, U20 World Cup… The schedule for AS Monaco’s international players
It’s time for the October international break! After a week marked by the a draw against Manchester City in the Champions League (2-2) et another against Nice in the Derby in Ligue 1 Mcdonald’s (2-2), no fewer than 18 players from the first team or from the Academy have joined their national teams. So, as we enter this set of matches marked by qualifications for the 2026 World Cup and the U20 World Cup, here is the schedule for our internationals! 📆
Qualifiers to be undecided 🌍
The 2026 World Cup qualifiers are now in the final stages. Among those involved is Maghnes Akliouche, who returns to the French national team after making his first appearance last September. The qualifiers will also see the participation of Mika Biereth (Denmark), Mohammed Salisu (Ghana), and Krépin Diatta (Senegal). The final two matches for the latter two will be decisive in CAF, which will be decisive in the race for the World Cup.
A World Cup reunion 🤝
Some players have already qualified and are now preparing for the biggest of matches. This is the case for Caio Henrique (Brazil) and Taki’ Minamino (Japan), who will face off in a friendly match on Tuesday, October 14th in Japan. Folarin Balogun (United States) has been called up once again by the American coach to best prepare for this major event, which will have a special hometown feel.
