Kevin Volland is your IQONIQ Match MVP against Angers
Scorer of a goal and an assist against Angers in a 3-0 win, the German striker was voted the IQONIQ match MVP by the Monegasque fans on the AS Monaco App.

He’s unstoppable Kevin Volland definitely feel at home at the Stade Louis-II. After having already scored and then delivered an assist last Wednesday against Lorient (5-2), to win his second player of the match award in a row, the German striker of AS Monaco was once again brilliant on Saturday night.

Already seven goals at the Stade Louis-II

Against Angers, the Monegasques’ top scorer in Ligue 1 (9 goals) was once again prolific at home, with a goal and an assist on the occasion of this 19th and final match of the first half of the league season (3-0). Against Le SCO, he allowed the Red and Whites to double their lead after a pass from Caio Henrique on the left flank in the 72nd minute of play, scoring his seventh goal at home. Then, nine minutes later, he added an assist (his 5th on the season), in setting up Stevan Jovetić who had just come on (3-0, 81′).

In sparkling form

He was therefore not mistaken in having announced at a press conference “he was at his best level” on the eve of the match. It’s impossible to contradict him, after this new show of force against Angers. With 73% of the votes, Kevin Volland is therefore elected the IQONIQ Match MVP for the third time this season. As proof of his current form, he has scored in his last four Ligue 1 games, his best series in the league since 2017, with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Even better, the teammate of Wissam Ben Yedder has been at the forefront of the attack, involved in 12 goals in his 9 home matches in the top flight this season with 7 goals and 5 assists. That’s more than any other Ligue 1 player. Bravo Kevin!
