Wissam Ben Yedder is your MVP for the final match of the season!
Scorer of his 25th goal of the season in Ligue 1, the Rouge et Blanc captain was voted MVP of the match played away to RC Lens, on Saturday (2-2).

And it’s a fifteenth to finish the season! Scorer of the second Monegasque goal away to RC Lens (2-2), Saturday on the occasion of the 38th and final day of Ligue 1, Wissam Ben Yedder was elected MVP of the match by you, the fans of the Rouge et Blanc on the AS Monaco App, with 49% of the votes, winning for the fifteenth time this season.

A Ligue 1 goalscoring record

The Monegasque captain, who has just been called up to the French team for their June matches in the Nations League, therefore ends the season with 25 goals in Ligue 1, his record for a single season. With 63 league goals in red and white, “Captain Wissam” is now alone in 4th place among the Club’s top scorers in the top flight, ahead of Yvon Douis (62) and just behind Radamel Falcao (65).

Two other Monegasques were lauded by fans on the AS Monaco App because of their strong performance at the Stade Bollaert. The first is Alexander Nübel, with eight saves including several that were top class, with 33% of the vote. And it was Benoît Badiashile, imperious defensively and scorer of his first goal this season, who completes the podium, with 11% of the vote. Well done gentlemen!
